Lab : Deploying and Configuring Microsoft Office
Communications Server 2007 R2 Enterprise Edition
Lab 1 guides the attendee through preparing Active Directory and
DNS for an OCS installation. Following these steps, OCS 2007 is
installed and validated.
Module 2: IM and Presence
Module 2 describes the rich presence advancement that Office
Communications Server is delivering. Additionally this module
describes Office Communicator clients, and deployment
scenarios.

Lab : Installing and Using Office Communicator 2007 R2
and the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant
Lab 2 illustrates the installation of Office Communicator, OCS
2007 R2 Attendant and new rich-presence capabilities. This lab also
illustrates enabling users for IM and testing the clients.

Module 3: Conferencing
Module 3 illustrates the new on-premise conferencing capability
within OCS 2007 R2 and the differences between LiveMeeting Service
and on-premise capability. This module also differentiates
conferencing clients and requirements.

Lab 5 guides the attendee through the phases of deploying and
configuring conferencing in an existing OCS 2007 R2
implementation.
Module 4: Remote Access
Module 4 articulates the Edge role within an OCS 2007 R2
implementation, and the process one needs to follow to define the
appropriate topology. After covering the fundamentals information
will be shared on the best practices in relation to configuration
and maintenance.

Access
Lab 6 will provide the attendees with hands-on experience in

Module 5 articulates the new management tools and techniques for
troubleshooting OCS 2007 R2. This module walks through some tools
and techniques for identifying any deployment problems.

dial-plan integration, and steps required to add OCS 2007 R2 to
Exchange UM infrastructure.

Module 9: Developer Platform Overview
Module 9 provides insight in the opportunities for developers to
expand on the built-in functionality of OCS 2007 R2 and to further
integrate it within the organizations business processes.
