Overview/Description
Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications Part 2 (IIUC2)
version 1.0 provides an understanding of Cisco Unified
Communications Manager Express and Cisco Unity Express. The goal is
to be able to install, configure and implement a small business
VoIP telephones and voice mail systems as well as trouble shoot
this environment.
Target Audience
This course is recommended for any professional interested in
pursuing a career in small business VoIP systems. The course
includes implementing Cisco Unified Unified IP Phones using both
SCCP and SIP, configuring additional Cisco Unified Communications
Manager Express features, configuring new Cisco Unified
Communications Manager Express features as well as implementing
media resources, TAPI, Cisco Unified CallConnector, and integrate
with a Cisco Unified CallConnector Mobility server, Cisco Unity
Express in a Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express
environment. Configure Cisco Unity Express to register to a Cisco
Unified Messaging Gateway. Perform troubleshooting, management, and
maintenance tasks for a Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Express environment.
Prerequisites
To fully benefit from this course, students should possess a
working knowledge of fundamental terms and concepts of computer
networking, including LANs, WANs, and IP switching and routing.
- Basic internetworking skills taught in Interconnecting Cisco
Network Devices 1 and 2 (ICND1, ICND2), or Cisco CCNA®-equivalent
knowledge
- Ability to configure and operate Cisco routers and switches and
to enable VLANs and DHCP
- Knowledge of traditional public switched telephone network
(PSTN) operations and technologies, or the knowledge and skills
from Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications (IIUC) v1
