FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

LEADERQUEST 2010 "ELEVATE COLORADO" IT TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO DENVER RESIDENT

Centennial, CO
- (September  24, 2010) - LeaderQUEST, a Colorado-based technology learning solutions and training company providing services to corporations and individuals, announced today that the recipient of the  2010 LeaderQUEST "Elevate Colorado" Scholarship is Craig Banister, 54, from Denver, Colorado.  The LeaderQuest Scholarship, valued at $6,800, includes a full 16-day Microsoft IT Professional Certification with Job Placement Services.

Craig, unemployed for the last five weeks and actively seeking employment, was overwhelmed.  "Winning the LeaderQuest Elevate Colorado 2010 scholarship was a welcome measure of good fortune for me," said Craig.  "The timing is perfect and the training will be invaluable as I actively seek employment in a highly competitive economic market and in a field that is constantly changing and advancing.  Certifications in IT give an edge in job hunting and increase your skill sets so you become more valuable to an employer."  He added, "LeaderQuest is doing a great service to people who are unemployed and need to get trained in marketable skills and also to people who are currently employed but need to extend their training and knowledge."

Craig is scheduled to commence his training in October with a combination of day, evening, and online classes.  When completed, Craig's new Microsoft IT Professional Certification will also qualify him for a job in customer support tech, desktop support, or network security.  Although he has over 10 years experience in IT already, these are employment areas for which he was previously unqualified.

LeaderQUEST will help find Craig that new job, too.  Their job placement rate is 80% in employers as they maintain partnerships with major technology companies and they also offer career counseling.

"We are pleased to present some good news in the current economy," said George Cohlmia, CEO of LeaderQUEST. " Jobs in IT are growing.  In fact, companies continue to make significant investments in IT with spending in the US forecast to be 6% (up from 3%) this year.  This is also the sector projected to show the most growth in the 4th quarter in Colorado.  US companies are taking greater steps to bring value-rich products and services to a global consumer."
